The Samaritan Trust is a local non-governmental organization in Blantyre , Malawi devoted to the care of street children. For several reasons a large number of children from all districts in Malawi end up on the streets of Blantyre .
Economic factors, food shortages and HIV-Aids have caused an increase in the number of orphans and street children in recent years and this number is growing despite the good intentions and efforts of Government and NGOs.
